Climate Rights & Justice International Inc.
A human rights-
driven response to the climate
crisis in Big Ocean Striving States (BOSS) and other vulnerable regions in the Americas and beyond, prioritising the incorporation of Indigenous Knowledge Systems.
About
We conduct groundbreaking, interdisciplinary research and advocacy, producing high-quality data, demanding a human rights-driven policy response to the climate crisis. We work to amplify the voices of Indigenous and marginalised communities in Big Ocean Striving States and other vulnerable regions in the Americas and beyond.
Climate change is undermining human rights on a global scale—from growing threats to life and health from extreme weather events and vector-borne diseases, to food and water scarcity to housing insecurity and threats to democracy from socioeconomic instability.
Advisory Opinions issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACtHR) and International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) provide a developing basis for the evolving paradigms of Climate Justice.
